TeleConsult involves video and audio calls primarily used for medical second opinions, medication advice, medication prescriptions, and general medical consultations.
Urgent Medical Care calls, on the other hand, are video and audio calls specifically designed for immediate medical assessments to determine the level of medical attention required. This type of consultation necessitates that the subscriber or patient has access to the MyPocketDoc Multi-parameter health collection device.
You can visit the App Store for iPhone or the Google Play Store for Android to download MyPocketDoc for FREE. Once you have downloaded the application on your mobile phone, you can sign up by simply filling in some basic personal details. A verification email will be sent to your email for you to confirm before you can start using MyPocketDoc.
All calls are paid for using a credit system, with each credit costing RM 5. The following table shows the credits required for each call:

You can top up your credit through the MyPocketDoc app. You have the option to pay via Credit/Debit Card, Bank Transfer (FPX), or any of the various e-wallets available in the application. The minimum credit top-up is 5 or RM 5 per transaction.
The duration of a call per session depends on the subscriber's chosen option for consultation, taking into account their available credits and preferences. For TeleConsult, each session is 10 minutes, while Urgent Medical Care calls are 20 minutes per session.
The Free Call is valid for 3 months from the date of subscription. Once this period expires, you have the flexibility to top up the credit whenever it suits you or whenever the need arises.
Select type of consultation according to your preference. Within the category, choose your preferred doctor or healthcare professional.
If your call request is not accepted within 3 minutes, you will receive a notification. It's possible that your chosen healthcare provider is currently occupied. You have the option to cancel the call without affecting your credit and select another doctor or healthcare professional.
The doctor listing displays only those doctors who are currently available.
Yes, you can switch to different doctors or healthcare professionals as needed.
You cannot engage in teleconsultations with more than one doctor or healthcare professional simultaneously
All doctors and healthcare providers undergo rigorous screening and verification by our medical committee board before being included in the MyPocketDoc platform. The filtering process requires the submission of relevant certificates and credentials to ensure authenticity.
An E-prescription is an electronic instruction written by a medical practitioner that authorises you to receive medication. Through the platform, your doctor can prescribe medications for you if clinically indicated.
Yes, doctors on the application have the capability to issue medical chits, but this is always subject to their professional opinion regarding the condition of the patient.

E-prescriptions can be provided to patients, allowing them to purchase prescribed medications from the nearest pharmacy. The E-prescriptions will include the doctor's credentials, such as their name, MMC number, and position, which will be printed on the document.
Patients can print out the E-MC (Electronic Medical Certificate) themselves. The E-MC will include the doctor's credentials, such as their name, MMC number, and position.
Payments will be processed twice a month on the 15th and the last day of each month.
What is the dress code during consultations?
A professional and appropriate dress code is encouraged during consultations. Men are recommended
There is no specific duration that doctors need to fulfill for payment. As mentioned, doctors are compensated based on the teleconsultations they conduct.
There is no minimum number of hours that doctors need to fulfil in order to receive payment.
There is no shift schedule for doctors on board, but it is recommended that you be available for teleconsultation even during the night if you are able.
You may provide assistance to the patient or refer them to the nearest hospital.
Yes, your clinical notes will only be visible during teleconsultation and will not be accessible publicly or outside of teleconsultation. Other doctors may only read a patient's previous notes during a teleconsultation.
To be approved, you will need to submit your credentials, including your MMC certificate, Annual Practice Certificate, Personal Indemnity Insurance (if any), and Curriculum Vitae.
Payment will be based on specialty. General practitioners will receive RM 20 per TeleConsult call and RM 40 for Urgent Medical Care calls. Specialists will be paid RM 70 per TeleConsult call and RM 140 for Urgent Medical Care calls.
