Empowering Fast and Accurate Self-Assessment
DK, AI Healthcare Advisor
The AI Healthcare Advisor, known as DK, is the artificial intelligence that powers both the Urgent Medical Triaging (UMT) and General Medical Advisory (GMA) systems within the MyPocketDoc platform.
DK’s primary function is to empower self-assessment, providing individuals with the tools to quickly and accurately evaluate their health concerns, particularly in urgent but non-emergency situations. By analysing various forms of data, DK delivers actionable recommendations, making healthcare support more accessible and efficient
Multimodal Data Fusion
At the heart of DK is its ability to analyse a wide array of data simultaneously. It combines voice, video and vital signs collected from medical devices and smartphones, providing a comprehensive and holistic view of a person's condition, which is crucial for its other functions.
For instance, DK can use video data to detect if a person is wearing an oxygen mask, then analyse their facial expression and vital signs to determine if they are responsive or appear unwell. By fusing these different data streams, DK creates a more accurate and comprehensive picture of a person's health.

Fast and Accurate Evaluation
The DK system is engineered to provide a rapid and precise evaluation of urgent but non-emergency health conditions. Its speed allows for immediate triaging, preventing delays and helping to ensure users receive timely attention.
Accuracy is achieved by basing its assessment on a combination of real-time data from integrated medical devices and advanced facial recognition, ensuring the guidance provided is both reliable and appropriate for a person's specific condition. This process gives users peace of mind and guides them towards the most suitable course of action.
NEWS Scoring for Urgent Triaging
A key feature of DK is its ability to generate accurate National Early Warning Signs (NEWS) scores. This is a globally recognised system developed by the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK. It provides a quick and reliable assessment of a patient's risk level, enabling effective and timely triaging.
The NEWS score is derived from several key measurements, including a person's respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate. By automatically calculating this score using data from its integrated medical devices, DK provides a clear, standardised number that quickly classifies a patient's condition.
A low score indicates the patient is stable and can be monitored, while a high score signals a critical deterioration, prompting an immediate alert for urgent medical attention.

Multi-language Support with Automatic Switching
To ensure accessibility for all users, DK offers multi-language support for a wide range of languages including English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Arabic, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese and many more. The system can automatically switch from one language to another, breaking down communication barriers and making healthcare advice available to a wider audience.
This feature is critical in high-stress situations, where users may struggle to articulate symptoms in a second language. By instantly adapting to a user's native tongue, the system ensures that the information is accurate and unambiguous. This seamless communication improves safety, builds trust and ensures critical health information is never lost in translation.
Built-in Facial Recognition
DK incorporates advanced facial recognition technology, which allows it to detect and analyse a person's expression and movements. This provides an additional layer of data for a more comprehensive and accurate assessment of their condition.
This technology is vital for non-verbal communication, allowing the system to assess a user's state even when they cannot speak. It detects subtle signs of pain or anxiety from facial expressions. When this data is combined with other inputs, it forms a more complete picture of a person's well-being, enabling the system to flag potential medical emergencies more quickly and reliably.
